Since its establishment in 2015, the Ellington Art Foundation has been a cornerstone in supporting the burgeoning art community in the United Arab Emirates. Our mission is to cultivate and showcase the talents of local artists, offering them a platform to engage with the art world and elevate their visibility. Through our foundation, we aim to enrich the cultural landscape, fostering a community that values art as an integral part of a design-led lifestyle. Over the years, we’ve proudly supported artists whose works now grace some of the most distinguished properties in the Emirates.
We are excited to invite talented artists to participate in our latest competition, focused on creating sculptural art that will be showcased in Ellington Beach House, our newest beachfront development on The Palm. We are looking for two exceptional sculptures or installations to be featured prominently at the drop-off areas of both the North and South Towers. These artworks will serve as the focal point of the entrance experience, captivating residents and visitors alike with their distinct and dynamic presence.
This year’s theme, “Shaping the Sea: Sculptural Art on the Shore,” challenges artists to explore the powerful and ever-changing relationship between the ocean and the shoreline. We invite you to capture the essence of this interaction through sculptures that evoke the fluidity, force, and tranquility of the sea as it meets the shore.
Your work should embody the motion and energy of the waves, creating a sense of movement and transformation, while seamlessly blending with the architectural and environmental context of Ellington Beach House.
Design two sculptures or installations that will be featured at the roundabout drop-off areas of the North and South Towers of Ellington Beach House. These artworks should be designed to enrich the arrival experience with a distinctive and captivating sculptural presence, serving as a key focal point for the property.
